LAURELHURST 1946

Located in Seattle’s Laurelhurst neighborhood, this 1946 residence offered a charming foundation for a thoughtful renovation. The homeowners were drawn to the original character of the home. They wanted to preserve its vintage appeal while introducing updates that reflected their modern lifestyle. Our design team embraced a color palette of blues and vibrant pops of red to energize the interiors and create a sense of cohesion throughout the home.

The kitchen features Calacatta marble countertops, custom shaker-style cabinetry painted in a saturated blue, and a handcrafted wood island stained in a warm-midtone finish.

In the dining room we designed a custom, built-in hutch with leaded-glass doors and an antique mirror backsplash. The traditional yet vibrant rug was paired with updated furnishings, giving the space a layered mix of vintage and new.

From color to millwork, each element was carefully considered to honor the home’s history while bringing a new layer of personality and livability. The result is a home that feels both rooted and refreshed.
