Historic Madrona Park 1909

This magical home was designed by architect Ellsworth Storey in 1909 and was designated a Seattle Landmark in 1979.  Located in the Madrona Park neighborhood, it is filled with charming details including tulip cut-outs in the woodwork, beamed ceilings, and a granite fireplace.

We renovated the kitchen, butler’s pantry, primary bathroom, and powder room with new details that preserve the history of the home.  Stunning marble countertops, inset cabinets, hand-made tiles, and brass hardware pair beautifully with the existing historic details.

The color palette is rich, warm and is accentuated by bold saturated wallpaper while the furnishings are youthful and modern.

This full-service interior design and renovation project in Seattle reimagines a historic 1909 residence through kitchen and bathroom remodels, architectural preservation, and complete home furnishing. Our team guided the project from early planning through construction coordination and installation, integrating refined materials such as marble, inset cabinetry, and custom tilework while sourcing from brands including Morris & Co., House of Hackney, and Ann Sacks. The result is a cohesive, high-end interior that honors the home’s historic character while supporting modern living.
