GREEN LAKE RESIDENCE
Our clients wanted their 1907 home in Seattle’s Green Lake neighborhood to be cozy, welcoming, and functional, with plenty of storage. In the design process, we recognized the importance of restoring the home’s vintage charm while also introducing fresh character. We opened the kitchen to the dining and living rooms with a cased opening that matches other openings throughout the home, creating beautiful sightlines across the first floor. A banquette in the kitchen nook provides a spot for casual dining and connects directly to the exterior patio through new French doors. We added built-ins to the dining and family rooms for ample storage, enhancing each room with a lovely, rich element. The primary bathroom was transformed with striking blue tile paired with rifted white oak cabinetry and brass accents, while the powder room surprises with a rich, moody palette seen in the striking wallpaper. We furnished the home with comfort in mind, seamlessly integrating new, custom, and vintage pieces into a timeless arrangement.
