Welcome to Our New Studio!

Tammara Stroud Interior Design Studio, Seattle, WA

We have been hinting at our new studio for a while, and we’re officially excited to share the story behind it here on our blog. After 11 years in our original studio location, we felt it was time for a change. With design projects expanding across the country, a growing team, and fresh creative inspiration, we began searching for a space that matched our pace, growth, and vision. We couldn’t have been luckier to land at the Salmon Bay Marine Center in Magnolia, Seattle.

We fell in love with a unit at the Marine Center that overlooks Salmon Bay and Ballard, and quickly felt that this particular space offered an incredible opportunity to create something from scratch. The space was formerly used as a COVID-19 testing lab, but despite its previous function, Tammara immediately saw its potential. She envisioned a studio that would not only breathe new life into the building, but also feel deeply personal, inspiring, and uniquely ours. We reworked the layout to include a design library, a formal client presentation room, furniture vignettes, and collaborative work areas for our team.

Tammara shared, “I always wanted to use this mural by Schumacher. The first time I saw it, I fell in love with the whimsical nature theme, the saturated colors, and the birds. It’s often been difficult convincing clients to take a chance on a mural this bold in their homes, but funny enough, after seeing it in person at the studio, their immediate response is usually, ‘I need something like this.’”

That’s another exciting aspect of our new studio space—everything in it is for sale. Our studio doubles as a furniture showroom, while also serving as a home for the unique antiques, accessories, and curated pieces we collect and source along the way.

We wanted our new studio to take interior design to the next level and offer a true boutique experience. Our design library holds thousands of selections, resources, and samples and is constantly evolving. We regularly meet with our vendors and design representatives to curate the library, ensuring access to the latest seasonal collections and unique product lines. From tile, cabinet samples, and window treatments to fabrics, hardware finishes, and carpet, our design library truly has it all. Having these materials on hand allows us to adapt and refine our designs as we work—we never want to limit our creative potential in this way.

We also have a dedicated meeting space to review project plans and designs with our clients, with the ability to present drawings and physical selections in person. We always knew we needed a space like this from the start—allowing our clients to see and feel materials in the studio is an essential part of our process and something we deeply value.

As designers, we love the collaborative nature of the space and how our new studio allows us to work together more seamlessly. We see it not only as a place for inspiration, but also as a space we are excited to share with our clients, friends, and family.

We hope you visit us soon!
